Psychosocial Development in Cross-Cultural Perspective: A New Look at an Old Issue
Goldman, Ruth K.
Developmental Psychology, 5, 3, 411-419, Nov 71
This study supports the hypothesis that children reared in group-care settings are not necessarily retarded in their psychosocial development in comparison to family-reared children. They may, in fact, depending upon group-care philosophy and practice, as well as reasons for admission, surpass their home-reared counterparts in psychological maturity. (Author/WY)
