Heart Rate Conditioning in Newborn Infants: Relationships Among Conditionability, Heart Rate Variability, and Sex
Stamps, Leighton E.; Porges, Stephen W.
Developmental Psychology, 11, 4, 424-431, Jul 75

Data suggest females have higher levels of heart rate variability than males, which parallels their greater conditionability. (GO)
