Initial Behavior Outcomes for the PeaceBuilders Universal School-Based Violence Prevention Program.
Flannery, Daniel J.; And Others
Developmental Psychology, v39 n2 p292-308 Mar 2003
Assigned elementary schools to either immediate postbaseline intervention (PBI) with PeaceBuilders, a school-based violence prevention program, or to intervention 1 year later (PBD). Found significant gains in social competence for kindergarten through second-graders in Year 1, in peace-building behavior in Grades K to 5, and reduced aggression in Grades 3 to 5 for PBI but not PBD schools. Most effects were maintained in Year 2 for PBI schools. (Author/KB)
