Pupil Participation in School Cleaning: A Comparative Survey

Describes a survey on how school cleaning is carried out in 103 countries throughout the world. Based on a comparative analysis of the collected data, the countries are classified into three types: 1) janitorial type, where janitors, or special cleansing personnel, clean the school, 2) janitor-pupillary type, where janitors do the school cleaning but students are required to help, and 3) the pupillary type, where pupils clean schools.
