The British Colonial Education "Lending" Policy in Cyprus (1878-1960): An Intriguing Example of an Elusive "Adapted Education" Policy.
Persianis, Panayiotis
Comparative Education, v32 n1 p45-68 Mar 1996

By 1930, however, political conditions caused a reversal of British policy toward using education to create a politically supportive middle class. (SV)
