Pedagogical Challenges for Educational Futures in Industrializing Countries.
Levin, Henry M.
Comparative Education Review, v45 n4 p537-60 Nov 2001
Improving schooling efficiency and equity in industrializing countries is a sensible short-run strategy but does not address long-term implications of globalization and rapid social, economic, and technological changes. The Accelerated Schools project uses methods of gifted education to foster in all children the problem-solving and decision-making skills that will be critical in the future. (SV)
