This article describes how the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) is recreating America's community colleges through a partnership with the Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE). VCCS is doing this as a provider of a fast-track teacher-licensure program designed to increase the supply of teachers in some of Virginia's critical-shortage teaching areas.
