Creating a Dialogue: Socratic Seminars and Educational Reform.
Lambright, Lesley L.
Community College Journal, v65 n4 p30-34 Feb-Mar 1995
Discusses the important uses of Socratic seminars, exploratory intellectual conversations centered on a text and facilitated by the instructor, in critical thinking instruction. Indicates that Socratic seminars differ from discussions in that, whereas discussions feature debates leading to convergent thought patterns, seminars are based upon exploring divergent thought processes.
