The Impact of a Differential Social Power System on Latinos' Attitudes Toward the High School and the Community College Experience.
Vazquez, Luis A.; Garcia Vasquez, Enedina
Community College Journal of Research and Practice, v22 n5 p531-40 Fall 1998
Examines the perceptions of Mexican American students' attitudes toward the community college and high school experiences in relation to a high-USPI (unequal social power influence) environment--higher percentage of Anglos than Mexican Americans--and a low-USPI environment--lower percentage of Anglos than Mexican Americans. Results indicate significant differences in attitudes and school experiences. (AS)
