Relationships of Self-Image in High School with Attendance and Grade Point Average at Postsecondary Educational Institutions.

An analysis of data from a national longitudinal study of high school and college students revealed a consistent relationship between positive self-image in high school and both higher college-going rates and higher grades in postsecondary education. Implications for teachers, student personnel services, administrators, and policymakers are discussed. (MSE)
