Doctoral Student Retention.
Gunn, Christopher S.; Sanford, Timothy R.
College and University, v63 n4 p374-82 Sum 1988
A study of retention rates among new doctoral students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill found graduation rates dropping concurrently with the increased tendency for doctoral students to stay enrolled longer. Few differences between the sexes emerged, despite the increased representation of women in later cohorts. (MSE)
