Research to determine if and how unbalanced racial and sexual representation in selected freshman classes affect subsequent dropout, stopout, and persister behavior is reported. Dropouts, stopouts, and persisters are defined. Racial minorities and sexual majorities both experience disproportionately higher dropout rates. (MLW)
