The question of the utility of computers for small colleges is examined in terms of teaching and research or administrative applications. Difficulties and advantages are discussed with respect to teaching and curriculum, operating personnel and program administration, business, registrar and library applications. Costs and implementation are detailed including criteria for a small college computer system. Future developments and applications are outlined. (MM)
