The efforts of Floyd Junior College in Georgia to meet the specific needs of its students are reported. In Education 100, the students have a quarter of concentrated study on how to be successful in their academic work, including use of time, and reading and study skills. In order to study empirically the so-called communication gap between students and administrators, an instrument containing a series of items regarding the role of the student and administration was given to a mass lecture section of introductory sociology students.
