Leadership among educational executives is necessary to facilitate educational progress. Yet, leadership is rendered relatively inaccessible. Its absence in practice is as common as its presence in the rhetoric of education. As leadership becomes definable and schools and communities accept it, the illusion may be transformed into a salvation. (Author)
