The model of staffing in higher education proposed by Winston and Creamer (1997) includes essential components of recruitment and selection, orientation, supervision, staff development, and performance appraisal. Proposes that the model has a significant oversight-when staff leave their position. Separation is proposed as a necessary component of the model to make it complete. (GCP)
