Effects of College Racial Composition on African American Students' Interactions with Faculty.
Flowers, Lamont A.
College Student Affairs Journal, v23 n1 p54-63 Fall 2003
Study explored the extent to which African American students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and those attending predominantly White institutions (PWs) had academic and social interactions with faculty members. Accounting for demographic characteristics and college experiences, students attending HBCUs reported significantly more interactions with faculty than those students attending PWIs.
