Accountability and Productivity in the Community College System, Fiscal Year 2004
Illinois Community College Board
This report, produced by the Illinois Community College Board, summarizes the results of academic, career and technical education, adult education, and developmental education programs that were reviewed during fiscal year 2004. Summaries include both program strengths and the common challenges colleges face in keeping instruction relevant while maintaining cost-efficiency. Specific quality improvements at the local level are also highlighted. During fiscal year 2004, community colleges reviewed 170 academic, 732 career and technical education, and 50 adult and developmental education programs. A table illustrating this information by college can be found in the appendix. This report provides evidence that Illinois' comprehensive community colleges play a vital role in the state's educational and workforce preparation. The report also illustrates that the colleges are committed to continuous improvement of their programs and services. (Contains 3 tables.) [Cover title varies.
