A Lawsuit Against Georgia University System Attacks a Range of Race-Based Policies.
Healy, Patrick
Chronicle of Higher Education, v43 n27 pA25-A26 Mar 14 1997
Eleven Georgia residents, seven white and four black, filed a class-action suit against the university system charging that racial segregation persists in the 19 universities because of such policies as affirmative action. The litigation is significant in linking affirmative action and desegregation. Plaintiffs claim that because three institutions are predominantly black, all the universities continue to be racially identifiable. (MSE)
