Publishers Press Colleges To Stop Software Piracy by Their Students.
Haworth, Karla
Chronicle of Higher Education, v43 n44 pA19-A20 Jul 11 1997
Software piracy among college students is increasing, and the software publishing industry insists colleges are responsible for the activities of their computer nets' users. Colleges generally cooperate with publishers when their students are found infringing on copyrights. The Software Publishers Association is holding a University of Puget Sound (Washington) student legally liable for making illegal copies of software. (MSE)
