In this article, the author discusses her preparation for "the Four P's": Preparation, Parents, Politics, and Parties. She states that a human's ability for self-preservation guided her through the first three of the "P's." She learned quickly, usually through hard experience, how to navigate through these issues. She shares, though, that she was totally naive in thinking that she was ready for the Holiday Party.
