Writing Development Using Computers in a Class of Three-Year-Olds.
Moxley, Roy A.; Warash, Bobbie; Coffman, Ginger; Brinton, Kim; Concannon, Kelly R.
Journal of Computing in Childhood Education, v8 n2/3 p133-64 1997
Examined writing development of 12 children in prekindergarten classes using computers in self-selected language experience activities. Found that 3-year-olds steadily improved in spelling and story writing, and improvement continued the next year. Children who were exposed to writing as 3-year-olds showed greater gains in spelling accuracy the next year than children who did not have such exposure. (Author/KB)
