Time Well Spent: Videotape as an Illustrative Tool for Analysis of Positive Interdependence.
Atkins, Sandra L.
Journal of Computing in Childhood Education, v8 n4 p365-76 1997
Videotaped six groups of preservice teachers, each of which was solving the same mathematical problem but with different sets of materials, to determine whether videotape could be used as a reflective tool in elementary mathematics education courses. Found that using videotape influenced preservice teachers' conceptualizations of the effect of material distribution on collaboration/interaction during mathematical problem solving. (Author/KB)
