Winter Weather Go Away, Come Again Another Day! Meteorology and Mothers' Perceptions of Children's Emotions during the Winter Season.
Lagace-Seguin, Daniel G.; Coplan, Robert J.
Canadian Journal of Research in Early Childhood Education, v8 n4 p39-50 Jan 2001
This study examined the relation between weather and mothers' perceptions of children's moods. Thirty-three mothers rated their children for 30 days, and these scores were examined for their relation to six weather variables (barometric pressure, humidity, temperature, sunshine hours, precipitation, wind) and daily changes in variables. Results revealed consistent relations between weather variables and children's positive and negative emotions. (TJQ)
