From Residential Care to Residential Care--The Case of Hong Kong.

Studied the first comprehensive research on residential child care in Hong Kong. Found that substantial numbers of children in care had been transferred from one residential facility to another, and that their parents suffered from more health, economic, and social maladjustment. Comparison of children involved in four types of movement found significant differences in admission age and parenting deficiency. (AP)
