Concepts of Potency and Resistance in Causal Prediction.
Zelazo, Philip David; Shultz, Thomas R.
Child Development, v60 n6 p1307-15 Dec 1989

There were clear age differences in the ability to integrate information about potency and resistance into sophisticated causal predictions of the magnitude of an effect. (RJC)
