Behavioral Competence among Mothers of Infants in the First Year: The Mediational Role of Maternal Self-Efficacy.
Teti, Douglas M.; Gelfand, Donna M.
Child Development, v62 n5 p918-29 Oct 1991

Maternal self-efficacy beliefs were related to maternal behavioral competence. When demographic variables were controlled for, self-efficacy correlated with maternal perception of infant difficulty.
