Only Children and Children with Siblings in the People's Republic of China: Levels of Fear, Anxiety, and Depression.

Examined the possible negative effects of China's 1979 one-child-per-family policy on adolescents born before 1979, preadolescents born during the implementation of the policy, and children born after the policy was implemented. Found that children with siblings reported significantly higher levels of fear, anxiety, and depression than only children, regardless of when they were born. (MDM)
