Taking Account of Time Lags in Causal Models.
Gollob, Harry F.; Reichardt, Charles S.
Child Development, v58 n1 p80-92 Feb 1987
Argues that standard structural equation modeling applied to cross-sectional data almost invariably results in misleading findings concerning relations among variables. Describes the latent longitudinal approach to causal modeling. The approach is one that fits longitudinal models to data, even if only cross-sectional data are available. (Author/RH)
