Developmental and Individual Differences in Long-Term Memory Retrieval: Process and Organization.
Ford, Martin E.; Keating, Daniel P.
Child Development, v52 n1 p234-41 Mar 1981
Investigated the relationship of two memory components involved in the retrieval of information from long-term memory--one process-oriented and one structure-oriented-- to variability associated with age and ability differences. Striking developmental differences obtained for retrieval efficiency were highly related to scores on tests of ability, especially verbal ability. (Author/DB)
