Intellectual Realism: The Role of Children's Interpretations of Pictures and Perceptual Verbs.
Pillow, Bradford H.; Flavell, John H.
Child Development, v56 n3 p664-70 Jun 1985

That is, a tendency to respond to requests for perceptual reports by indicating what is known about an object or array, rather than what is seen. (Author/BE)
