Assesses, in two studies, children's ability to evaluate the informativeness of retrieval cues (used to remember to do something in the future). In Study 1, 5- to 9-year-old children and adults evaluated potential effectiveness of cues. In Study 2, 4- to 9-year-olds evaluated potential effectiveness of cues for relocating hidden objects.
