Gender Differences in Approaches to Learning: Across Cultures.
Akande, Adebowale
Early Child Development and Care, v151 p57-76 Apr 1999
Used Learning Process Questionnaire to examine urban South African students' endorsement of various learning approaches. Found that strategies used by students in Western educational contexts were similar to those used by African counterparts. Urban South African responses, compared with counterparts from Nigeria, Australia, and Hong Kong, indicated that the belief in greater male variability may not generalize across cultures. (Author/KB)
