In Search of a Metatheory for Cognitive Development (or, Piaget Is Dead and I Don't Feel So Good Myself).
Bjorklund, David F.
Child Development, v68 n1 p144-48 Feb 1997

Posits developmental biology as metatheory for cognitive development. Introduces basic principles of evolutionary psychology, and examples of contemporary research and theory consistent with these ideas. (DR)
