Rejection Sensitivity and Children's Interpersonal Difficulties.
Downey, Geraldine; Lebolt, Amy; Rincon, Claudia; Freitas, Antonio L.
Child Development, v69 n4 p1074-91 Aug 1998
Three studies examine the relationship of rejection sensitivity measured on the Children's Rejection Sensitivity Questionnaire to individual differences in response to peers' social rejection in urban, minority fifth to seventh graders. Found that rejection-sensitive children behaved more aggressively and experienced increased interpersonal difficulties and declines in academic functioning over time than non rejection-sensitive children.
