Reasoning about a Structured Object: Three- and Four-Year-Olds' Grasp of a "Borderline Case" and an "Unexcluded Middle."
Sharpe, Dean; Cote, Marie-Helene; Eakin, Laurel
Child Development, v70 n4 p866-71 Jul-Aug 1999

Results suggested that children as young as 3 years possess a sophisticated ability to reason about the heritability of properties from parts to wholes. (Author/KB)
