Developmental robotics has forwarded a range of models of development and behaviours. With the variety of systems that have been created, and with some of these approximating prominent human behaviours (e.g. joint attention, word learning, imitation), one may argue that developmental robotics has started to go past robotic models of earwigs towards robotic models of humans. It seems clear, however, that there is much more research possible and needed. In this epilogue, the author enumerates some of the open research issues. (Contains 1 table.)
