Integrating Teaching with Other Aspects of Professorial Work: A Comparison of Experienced and Inexperienced Faculty's Role Conceptualization.
Kreber, Carolin
Canadian Journal of Higher Education, v30 n3 p79-112 2000
Studied the extent to which experienced and inexperienced faculty at Canadian universities integrated their various professorial roles. Survey responses from 88 faculty members show that experienced faculty integrated their professorial roles more strongly than inexperienced faculty. The two groups were most nearly in agreement in their conceptualization of the research role, and most divergent in their notions of the teaching role. (SLD)
