Marks, Gary N.
Australian Council for Educational Research
This report focuses on the transition to full-time employment of young people who do not go to university. The majority of Australia's school leavers do not enroll in university, and it is important to better understand the pathways that they follow. The report uses a substantial longitudinal dataset to map the dynamics of the youth labour market, and identify the factors that are important in securing full-time work. The following are appended: (1) Data, Sampling and Weights; (2) Measures; (3) Interpreting Odds Ratios; (4) The Multinominal Logit Model; and (5) Supplementary Tables. (Contains 31 tables, 2 figures, and 6 notes.)
