Albert's Alphabet
Erickson, Ann R.
SchoolArts: The Art Education Magazine for Teachers, v108 n2 p54-55 Oct 2008
In this article, the author describes how she introduced a lesson called Albert's Alphabet to her kindergarten students. This lesson introduces the design thinking process to kindergartners in a developmentally appropriate way. She began the lesson by reading Leslie Tyron's book "Albert's Alphabet," which tells the story of Albert Goose, the carpenter for Pleasant Valley School who was tasked by the school principal to build each letter of the alphabet to decorate the school's walking path.
