There is a need in art education to clarify the conceptual meaning of art attitude and to delineate the qualities implicit therein. This research provides that clarification by presenting a definition of attitude applicable to art and art-related referents. Compares this definition to some fundamental characteristics of attitudes previously established by selected authorities in attitude theory. (Author/RK)
