As the Mexican-American population grows, the undereducation of Chicanos threatens the functioning of higher education and the economic health of the Southwest. This article offers suggestions for moving more students through the educational pipeline and restructuring undergraduate education to help stem the attrition of Chicanos prior to college graduation.
