Curricular Transformation I: Theoretical and Philosophical Views Underlying Selected Pharmacy Education Studies.
Anderson-Harper, Heidi M.; And Others
American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, v60 n3 p314-21 Fall 1996
Pharmacy curriculum development efforts since 1913 are examined for their underlying ideology. Three conceptual orientations, reflected in reports of research, are distinguished and discussed: technical (curriculum as product); practical (curriculum as practice); and emancipatory (curriculum as praxis). Implications of these orientations for approaching future curriculum development are considered. (MSE)
