A Health Literacy Study Circle[superscript +] is a multi-session professional development activity for adult education practitioners, conducted by a facilitator. All the information and materials required to conduct each Health Literacy Study Circle[superscript +] is presented in two parts: this Introduction and the "Facilitator's Guide" for each of the three study circles. This introductory book, which is common to all three Health Literacy Study Circles superscript +], offers background information about the study circles and important guidelines and tips to help facilitators plan, organize, and facilitate a Health Literacy Study Circle[superscript +]. This Introduction includes three sections: (1) Overview; (2) Planning; and (3) Facilitation Tips. (Contains 4 tables and 5 Author's Notes.)
