Ansell, Sherman D., Ed.
Proceedings are presented of a two-day conference in which Wisconsin vocational and adult educators examined the energy crisis in light of programs in vocational, technical, and adult education in order to adapt to the changes expected in the job market. Major contents are (1) the keynote address by Governor Burt Zien on "The Role of the State in Setting Policy to Meet Energy Needs"; (2) summary symposium presentations on "Energy Alternatives and Emerging Technical Occupations" covering solar, nuclear, fossil fuel, and wind energy; (3) an address by Robert Bauer entitled "Energy Problems and Viable Solutions"; and a panel discussion, "Implications for Energy Users," with summaries of individual presentations on agriculture, labor, industry, and consumers. Summaries are also included of five workshops on energy use and occupational training in agriculture and food production, transportation, construction trends, technical assistance to industry, family and property management, and industrial and educational facilities.
