Examined degree to which 80 elderly widows and 80 elderly nonwidows were integrated in their community, daily hassles and stress they may have experienced, and their social networks and support-seeking behavior. Widowhood in and of itself did not appear to be predictor of community integration or experience of stress and hassles. Age and education were better predictors. (Author/NB)
