Family Life Education Resource Unit. Single Living.
Hite, Joyce
This resource unit, a supplement to the family life education curiculum guide (see related note), was designed to help secondary education home economics teachers provide students with learning experiences related to living as a single person. The unit covers two principle topics regarding single living, each including an overall objective, behavioral objectives, learning and evaluation experiences for students, and teaching resources (books and periodicals). The two topics are (1) identification of singles and (2) problems faced by singles (cultural pressure, paired society, adjustments, meeting new people, loneliness, housing needs, and personal safety). A list of the teaching resources concludes this unit. (EM)
