Culturally Competent MMPI Assessment of Hispanic Populations.
Dana, Richard H.
Hispanic Journal of Behavioral Sciences, v17 n3 p305-19 Aug 1995
Describes culturally competent assessment practice as a context for discussing advantages and disadvantages of various "corrections" currently available for the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory with Hispanic populations. Corrections include moderator variables, special scales, special norms, translations, and aids to interpretation. Recommends interim usage of corrections and simultaneous development of new tests and diagnostic standards that acknowledge cultural diversity. (Author/SV)
