In this article, the author discusses the High School Scalloped Hammerhead Shark Tagging Program in Hawaii which is an example of a successful partnership research collaboration. High school students and teachers worked with biologists from the University of Hawaii-Manoa (UHM) to conduct research on the life history of scalloped hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna lewini). The educational goal of the program was to inform current and future generations about the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems. Here, they discuss how the research was conducted and presents the research findings.
