The study investigated the relationship between vocational interest socio-economic status and re-entry of girls into school in Edo State. The research design adopted was correlational because it sought to establish the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. A sample size of 306 girls who re-enrolled in institutes of continuing education were randomly selected for the study. Three research hypotheses were formulated to guide this study. Three research instruments were used; they are the modified Bakare Vocational Interest Inventory, the instrument on socio-economic status and the instrument on reasons for re-entry into school by girls. Three continuing education schools were randomly selected for the study. Three hundred and six girls who re-enrolled in these schools were used for the study. Data was analysed using the regression analysis method. Results showed that there was a significant relationship between vocational interest, socioeconomic status and re-entry of girls into school. The r-values are as follows: vocational interest 0.443, socio-economic status 0.349. It is recommended that a vocational guidance bureau should be established by government and nongovernmental agencies, with the sole objective of providing information on various vocations to girls who may wish to re-enrol in school. Government and nongovernmental agencies should set up income generating factories where citizens would be employed in order to raise their socio-economic status. Moreover, it is recommended that in counselling girls who re-enrol in school, the Rational Emotive therapy should be adopted so as to enable the girls have a positive perception of themselves and their capabilities.
